Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions

Answers to the questions we are asked most often about our research process, methods and technology.

What does Pure Input do?

Pure Input is a market research company founded in Istanbul in 2012. It manages data collection, participant access and data quality end to end on technology it builds itself. It combines quantitative methods (telephone and online surveys) with qualitative ones (in-depth interviews, focus groups, observation).

Do you only run telephone surveys?

No. CATI is only one of our techniques. We also run CAWI (online surveys), in-depth interviews, focus groups and observation; most projects combine several of them. Sample design, advanced statistics and reporting are also part of our scope.

What are CATI, CAWI, IDI and focus groups?

CATI is computer-assisted telephone interviewing. CAWI is the same survey work conducted online. IDI (in-depth interview) is a one-to-one, long-form conversation with a participant. A focus group is a moderated group discussion. The first two measure numerically; the last two explain the reasons behind behaviour.

Do you build your own technology?

Yes. We developed all three platforms ourselves: PureEngine runs telephone surveys with voice AI, PurePanel combines online fieldwork with its own participant panel on a single platform, and PureProof audits the reliability of collected data. The process depends on no third party and your data stays under one roof.

How does PureEngine work?

PureEngine delegates the interview to a voice AI agent: it generates the number to call, dials, reads questions aloud in natural Turkish, transcribes the answer in real time, matches it to the survey options and follows the branching logic. Completed interviews are audited automatically and written to the central system. Surveys can be imported from Word, PDF or Excel documents.

How quickly can fieldwork start?

If the survey document is ready, importing it into PureEngine, testing the flow and going live can be completed within hours rather than days. Total project duration depends on sample size, quota structure and the chosen method; the exact timeline is set per project at the proposal stage.

In what format is data delivered?

We can deliver an analysis-ready SPSS package, Excel cross-tabulation sets, open-format outputs for R and Python, an interpreted presentation report and a signed live web report. Raw data and the codebook are also available on request.

How do you ensure data quality?

Every record passes an audit and consistency check; a multi-layer quality filter removes inconsistent and careless answers before they enter the dataset. PureProof audits whether an interview genuinely took place, independently of method — it works the same way for telephone, online and face-to-face studies.

Do you offer face-to-face (CAPI) fieldwork?

We do not provide face-to-face data collection. However, we audit CAPI studies with PureProof: we verify that interviews genuinely took place and measure data reliability. This is the most critical layer in studies where you cannot stand beside the interviewer in the field.

How is personal data protected?

Participant data is processed under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK). Research results are reported to clients separated from identifying information, in aggregated and statistical form; information that could reveal a participant's identity is never used in reporting. Details are on our Privacy page.

Which fields do you research?

We conduct public opinion research, consumer behaviour, satisfaction, brand awareness, perception and attitude, social structure studies and advanced statistical work. We also collect data from fields your own team cannot reach.

From sample design to insight — with you at every step.

We plan the sample, run the field, report the data and deliver insight aligned with your roadmap. Three sentences about your project is enough to start.
